The annual AMA (WA) Dr Camille Michener Legacy Award / Junior Doctor of the Year was inaugurated in 2010 to recognise the exceptional contribution of Dr Camille Michener to the Medical Profession, her colleagues and the patients she felt privileged to serve.
A $3,000 grant will be awarded annually to the winner of this prestigious Award.
The Selection Panel comprises Senior Practitioner and Doctors in Training representatives and is comprised of the current President of the AMA (WA) and 2 representatives of the AMA (WA) Council together with the current Chair/Co-Chair of the Doctors in Training Committee plus either one or two representatives from the Doctors in Training Committee such that there are three representatives in total from the Doctors in Training Committee.
The Selection Panel will meet to determine and select the finalists and the Award recipient based on the information contained in the nomination submission. Further information regarding the submission may be sought to assist in clarifying any aspect of the nomination.
A representative from the AMA (WA) will notify each nominee of their nomination.
The Award winner, to be announced at the Annual AMA (WA) Award Dinner, will receive a trophy together with $3000.
